Sunday In Camden

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Camden is easily one of the most visited towns in London and when you’re there, it’s easy to see why. It’s full of quirky stalls, shops and food stands, as well as some pretty cosy pubs.

We spent a Sunday wandering around Camden Market and eating and drinking our way through the streets. Could you think of a better way to spend a Sunday in the south?

If you’re off to London for the weekend and stuck for something to do on Sunday definitely make a stop to Camden. Here’s the definitive list of things you should experience when spending your lazy day in the streets of this popular London town.

Drink and be merry…

The main street of Camden is chock-full of pubs, with one on practically every corner. You’re spoilt for choice, but the nearest one is always the best shelter from the rain. While you’re there make sure you sample the local lager ‘Camden Hells’, it’s amazing!

The market awaits…

Camden Market is basically a London landmark by now and it’s easy to see why. There are tonnes of stands and shops from local businesses, the gin and food ones were my obvious favourites! We picked up some insane giant doughnuts from a vendor near the entrance which were to die for! If you’re there and don’t have a nut allergy, definitely get the one filled with Nutella!

Obligatory Sunday roast…

Because I work pretty much every Sunday, it’s not very often I get the chance to have a good ol’ Sunday roast. So, it’s no surprise that the only thing on my mind was ‘where can I get a good Sunday lunch?!’ I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t googled it before we’d even had breakfast. We stopped at a pub opposite the market called The Hawley Arms which did one of the tastiest lunches I’ve ever had. I’m not sure about you but I’m not the biggest fan of carvery’s, so finding a place that just serves a single dinner was perfect. The yorkies were huge too, bounus!
